Sometimes it is hard to deal with people who are just annoying like a teacher, your boss, coworkers, or friends. You want to get out of that situation but you don’t want to be rude or mean. I’ll give you a few tips to deal with this kind of people
When I worked at my job I had to deal with so many angry customers. Everybody at my job would get so many and angry but I was fine. People always asked me “How did you not get mad or upset”
The First tip is to try to understand their pain point. Here is an example. If some lady came up to me and said that her food was not cooked right and it was too cold. try to understand her, I can see why she is upset. everybody wants their food to be hot and fresh, I would reply with “Let me see what I can do.”
When an angry person comes at you with high energy/ angry energy, reply with a calm answer, I’m going to use the same example I used earlier. If the angry lady comes at me angrily saying her food is cold, I can De-escalate the situation by trying to understand what she is upset about and then replying with a calm answer, ” I’m sorry, that doesn’t sound good, let me see what I can”
This doesn’t just work with angry customers, it’s the principles that I’m trying to teach you, You have to understand them and then respond in a calm manner
The best way to not trigger your angry emotions is to just replace them, change your perspective, and start to see them in a funny way, an entertaining way, It’s so funny to me to see people so passionate about food, I ask are they really this angry about food? Obviously, I don’t laugh in their face it’s in the back of my head, to not make me upset or angry, I would rather laugh about it
You can get to a level where no matter what people say it does not faze you, It’s easy to let others get you upset but you have to work on not letting others take your peace, that’s the whole point of this, you cannot control what they do to you, you can only control how you respond to it and how you feel about it. That’s the only thing that you have control of
